How to turn PDF pages into PNG files
- Choose or drop a PDF.
- Choose all pages, add a range or pick pages from their previews.
- Press Convert to PNG.
- Download each page as a separate lossless image.
PNG or JPG?
Use PNG for text-heavy pages, diagrams, logos and screenshots where hard edges matter. Use PDF to JPG for photographs and long scanned documents when smaller files matter more than lossless pixels.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. pdf.js draws each chosen page and your browser writes the PNG locally.
Why choose PNG instead of JPG?
PNG is lossless, so fine text, diagrams and interface screenshots keep crisp edges. The files are usually larger than JPG photographs.
Can I choose specific pages?
Yes. Choose all pages, add one or more From/To ranges, or click pages directly in the preview grid.
Does selectable text survive?
No. Each output is an image of a page. Keep the PDF when search, copy, links or screen-reader access matter.
Do comments and highlights appear in the image?
Each page is drawn the way a printer would draw it, so an annotation lands in the PNG only if it is marked as printable — which most are, including comments and highlights added by Acrobat, Preview or a browser. Annotations written without that flag show in your reader but are absent from the image, so check the result when the marks matter.
